TORONTO, May 24, 2011 –CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival, presented by TELUS (May 31st – June 5th), will feature TOWERING SHORTS!, a full day of special programming at the CN Tower. Presented in partnership with the CN Tower and the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) join us on Saturday, June 4th for a morning of family-friendly tales, take in the breathtaking views at the top of the CN Tower and participate in a hands on animation workshop. Come back in the evening for our date night program of romantic shorts and then be whisked to Horizons Restaurant at the top of the Tower for coffee and dessert above the twinkling city lights.

WSFF's two daytime programs of family screenings offer kids an opportunity to view shorts from around the world that they may not otherwise get a chance to see, including the ever-charming Oscar-nominated gem THE GRUFFALO, featuring the voices of Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane, to name but a few. Kids can also participate in the NFB Mediatheque's hands-on 3-D animation workshops. Experienced NFB workshop facilitators will introduce children aged 3-13 to stop-motion animation, before helping them create their own original films.  Find inspiration for this one-of-a-kind class by looking to Canada's wonder of the world, the CN Tower – the awesome height of 553.33 metres, the amazing glass-floor paneled elevators, or the Look Out Level in the sky – there is so much to inspire you to create your very own short film!
