What is it?

The CBC Actors Conservatory is a full-time, 6-month immersive onscreen acting program designed to increase an actor’s confidence working in film and television; expand their onscreen portfolio; and establish strong creative and industry partnerships.

Program Structure

The Actors Conservatory is a combination of mentorship, workshops, onscreen opportunities and industry sessions that target the artistic, collaborative, practical and business aspects of acting for the screen.

Eligibility

This program is designed for actors who:

  • Are deeply committed to the craft
  • Are ready to explore their artistic practice
  • Are prepared to engage in a professional collaborative process
  • Are looking to expand their range as an onscreen performer
  • Have a growing body of work as a professional performer

Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition: $10,000 (covered by scholarship)Tuition is covered by a full scholarship thanks to the generosity of CFC donors. Monthly bursaries while in program and a relocation bursary are also provided. Please visit Financial Assistance for more information.
