Biography

Denise Blinn is an award winning screenwriter, playwright and director. Among others, she won the WGC’s Jim Burt Prize for her feature script 1936 and a Canadian Comedy Award (Best Director) for her short The Porcelain Pussy. She has worked as a story editor on the TV series King (Showcase/Global), as a director for the Comedy Network and as a writer for Korean gaming company Nexon. She teaches web-series writing at Centennial College, runs a story editing workshop and is a story consultant on several web-based series. Blinn has several projects in development including two features: 1936 (Sienna Films), Day One (Canadian Film Centre, working with Nick Hornby) and a comedy series: Family Therapy (Sphere Media).
