Godwin Liu is an Industrial Technology Advisor with the Government of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). Previously, he has been a senior management consultant and former executive with start-up, small business, and multi-national experience including Harmony Remote, Logitech Corporation, and Audatex. Godwin has extensive systems design, software development & leadership experience and in his consulting practice has advised on projects including medical devices, cloud-based software systems, and consumer electronics products. He is an inventor and patent author of an ultrasound imaging technique for monitoring the heartbeat of pre-natal laboratory mice. Godwin has a Master’s degree in Medical-Physics from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queens University, but has spent most of his career architecting, designing, and building innovate things with a heavy emphasis on Software and Data. His practice at NRC-IRAP focuses on Medical Device and Digital Economy innovations; Godwin participates on the national IRAP ICT Sector Team, and leads the national IRAP Go-to-Expert team on Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
