This Whistler Film Festival came to a close this past weekend, and PICTURE DAY took home the top prize in the Borso's Competition for Best Canadian Feature Film. The film is produced by alumna Lauren Grant ('06), co-produced by Aeschylus Poulos ('12), and edited by Dev Singh ('09). Peter Harvey, who produced Dreemer through the Short Dramatic Film Program also produces.

The Borsos jury commented, “This year, we are delighted to recognize a filmmaker whose work is revelatory:
universal in its specificity, soulful, heartfelt, raw, intelligent, profoundly human and so much fun!!! Kate, Philip Borsos is smiling.”

In PICTURE DAY, a rebellious teenager (Tatiana Maslany, Grown Up Movie Star) forced to repeat her last year of high school is caught between adolescence and adulthood — and between two very different male admirers. From writer-director Kate Melville.

Maslany was awarded Best Performance in a Borsos Film.

PICTURE DAY is distributed in Canada by Mongrel Media and in the U.S. by Ketchup Entertainment. Foreign sales rep: H20 Motion Pictures.
