Don Carmody Joins Distinguished Line-up of 2010 CFC Film Mentors

Toronto, August 12, 2010 – The CFC (Canadian Film Centre) is delighted to welcome the 2010 mentors on board to support and nurture Canada's next generation of talented filmmakers. New mentors include: Producer Don Carmody (BOONDOCK SAINTS, RESIDENT EVIL, CHICAGO), Director Ruba Nadda (CAIRO TIME, SABAH), Producer Damon D'Oliveira (POOR BOY'S GAME, RUDE), Director Lynne Stopkewich (KISSED, SUSPICIOUS RIVER), Editor Jeff Warren (BEOWOLF & GRENDEL, SEX LOVE & THE EATING OF BONES); Producer Paul Barkin (AMREEKA, THE CON ARTIST) and Editor Reginald Harkema (HARD CORE LOGO, FUBAR 2) who will share their experiences and expertise in the industry and on the craft of directing, writing, producing & editing with the residents of the Cineplex Entertainment Film Program, currently in session.

The Cineplex Entertainment Film Program is a five-and-a-half month complete immersion in the art and business of dramatic filmmaking for directors, producers, writers and editors. Filmmakers develop their technical, collaborative and business skills, while developing project slates and refining their artistic expression in an intensely demanding, creative and professional environment. With a focus on entrepreneurial spirit, the program maintains a balance between the artistic and commercial aspects of the filmmaking industry, while nurturing originality and fostering creative risk-taking.
