Congratulations to CFC Cineplex Entertainment Film Program Directors' Lab alumna Gail Harvey ('89) who is being honoured on Saturday June 21, 2014 by the Female Eye Film Festival as its 2014 Honourary Director. The event takes place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at The Royal Cinema and attendance is free.

With Gail's long span of success as an award-winning director and creative in the Canadian space, it is no surprise that she can now add ‘Honourary Director' to her repertoire.

Harvey's feature film Looking is the Original Sin, inspired by the life of Diane Arbus, starring Katie Boland (The Master), and Maria del Mar (Devil's Mile, 24) with a cameo role by Linda Hamilton (The Terminator) premiered at the Montreal Film Festival. It won Best International Feature at the New York International Film Festival and will be screening at the Female Eye Film Festival in June.

Some of Gail's recent television directorial pursuits include The Republic of Doyle, Lost Girl, Murdoch Mysteries, two seasons of the critically acclaimed pay TV series The Line, the finale episode of Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures and Regenesis, for which she received a DGC nomination.
