CRUEL & UNUSUAL Wins Big at 2014 Fancine Festival

CRUEL & UNUSUAL continues its successful festival run by taking home a number of awards at the 2014 Fancine Fantastic Film Festival, including Best Picture. The film proved to be an Official Jury and Audience Jury favourite at the festival, winning awards in both of these jury categories:

Official Jury

  • University Of Málaga Award for Best Picture

  • Best Actor Award
    David Richmond-Peck, for CRUEL & UNUSUAL
  • Best Screenplay Award
    Merlin Dervisevic, for CRUEL & UNUSUAL

Audience Jury

CRUEL & UNUSUAL is the 21st film developed and produced through CFC Features. The story is about a man who is condemned to relive a crime he believes he didn’t commit. As he revisits his tragic last day and navigates his way through a strange institution, his perception is tested in a quest to find the truth.

The supernatural puzzle film is the feature debut of director/writer Merlin Dervisevic. It stars David Richmond-Peck (Orphan Black), Michael Eklund (The Call), Richard Harmon (Continuum), Michelle Harrison (Wild Roses) and newcomer Bernadette Saquibal.
