CFC Alumna Jennifer Mesich Named Director of Development and Production at Don Carmody Productions

CFC proudly congratulates Jennifer Mesich, an alumna of the Cineplex Entertainment Film Program Producers’ Lab, on her appointment as director of development and production, film and TV for Don Carmody Productions.

Mesich is a short film producer who has also worked as a producer assistant on Don Carmody movies like Resident Evil: Retribution, Home Again and The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

The announcement was made at the Whistler Film Festival, where Carmody is receiving a career achievement award. According to Playback, Mesich will be responsible for expanding the production shingle’s slate with a push for content aimed at female audiences. She will be based in Toronto and will work on films, scripted and reality TV projects for network, cable and streaming services.

Mesich has produced several short films, including Night, Rung and Family First, as well as the feature film Eating Buccaneers, which she co-produced. Her short films have screened at Tribeca, Palm Springs ShortFest, Vancouver, Calgary and Cinefest.
