Alumni of the CFC Actors Conservatory are appearing on screens all over the world, so it seemed appropriate that we take a minute to update you on some of their successes and what TV series and films you can see them in. Using the mentorship, skills and experience from the Actors Conservatory, these actors are establishing strong careers in the worldwide screen-based entertainment industry.

Giacomo Gianniotti (2013 alumnus), a series regular on Reign and Murdoch Mysteries, was recently signed on to join the cast of Grey’s Anatomy! His character is still top secret, so check out the next season of Grey’s Anatomy to see Giacomo in action. You can also tune in to Lifetime on May 30, 2015for the world premiere of the miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe to see Giacomo in the role of Jimmy Dougherty, Marilyn Monroe's first husband.

One of Giacomo’s fellow 2013 alumni, Annie Murphy, was seen on screens across Canada and the United States this past winter, as viewers fell in love with her character “Alexis” on the CBC series Schitt’s Creek, alongside father-son duo Dan and Eugene Levy and comedic legend Catherine O’Hara. Schitt’s Creek resonated so well with audiences that it was quickly renewed for a second season. Annie and the gang are currently shooting Season 2, which we are (im)patiently waiting to watch! Another 2013 alumnus, Matthew Owen Murray, could be seen this past year in uniform as Duncan Moore on alumna Tassie Cameron’s acclaimed cop show, Rookie Blue, and has been cast in ABC Family’s upcoming single-cam comedy series Kevin From Work, which is set to premiere this summer.

Sarah Allen (a 2009 alumna), is no stranger to the small screen, you may have seen her on TV shows such as Nikita, Being Human and 19-2, to name a few. And now we are pleased to announce that she is the lead on hit TV series Remedy, currently in Season 2 on Global. Keon Alexander (another 2009 alumnus), who appears alongside Sarah Allen in some episodes of Remedy, recently joined the Season 2 cast of FX’s Tyrant in a recurring role throughout the season. Kate Corbett, an alumna of the 2010 program, recently finished shooting the feature film The Steps, an ensemble comedy/drama from director Andrew Currie (Fido), and can be seen this year on FX’s Fargo.

Now to our most recent Actors Conservatory graduates from the 2014 cohort; many of you probably saw alumna Cara Ricketts in the critically acclaimed CBC miniseries The Book of Negroes, from CFC alumni Clement Virgo and Damon D’Oliveira, and you can catch Sabryn Rock in a large recurring role on the upcoming series The Girlfriend Experience.

We are so proud of our Actors Conservatory alumni and their many accomplishments and we can’t wait to see what they will do next!
