We are proud to announce that two CFC alumni have been named Playback’s ‘5 to Watch’ for 2015: 2013 Actors Conservatory alumnus Giacomo Gianniotti, and 2014 Tribeca All Access participant Stella Meghie.

Giacomo, just three years into his acting career, has already had recurring roles on Reign,Murdoch Mysteries,Backpackers, Selfie and Race. This past year, he played the role of Jimmy Dougherty, Marilyn Monroe's first husband, in the Lifetime miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, and joined the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as one of the new interns. In 2016, he is set to make his big screen debut.

With these many accomplishments and more, it’s no wonder Playback named Giacomo a 2015 ‘5 to Watch.’ Read the full story on Playback HERE (subscription required).

Stella, winner of 2012 Showtime Tony Cox Award for Screenwriting, is an alumna of Berlin International Film Festival’s Talent Campus, Nantucket Screenwriters Colony, and the Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters Program. Her screenplay JEAN OF THE JONESES, went through our Tribeca All Access program, was a screenplay winner at Nantucket Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, and was selected as a finalist for BET’s Urbanworld Film Festival. Most recently, BET optioned Stella’s comedy pilot for Funny Woman. According to Playback, she has no shortage of momentum, so she is definitely one to watch!
