THE NORMAN JEWISON FILM PROGRAMDirectors' Lab Producers' Lab Writers' Lab Editors' Lab
The Norman Jewison Film Program, supported by Shaftesbury, AMC Networks, and the Paul Bronfman Family Foundation, is comprised of four distinct labs for writers, editors, producers, and directors. This full-time program is tailored to the needs of participating creators each year, offering an immersive 5 & 1/2 month artistic, professional, and collaborative experience. It is designed to inspire and empower Canadian filmmakers to become world-class storytellers, and generate a significant portfolio of bold new content, and fresh IP.
This program is focused on elevating an individual’s voice/vision, process, work, community, and career by:
- Bringing together and empowering the artistic vision of exciting screen storytellers from across Canada
- Hosting a diverse and ever-evolving range of workshops, meetings, masterclasses, and case studies, with guests and mentors who are active in the industry
- Forging meaningful creative and professional partnerships
- Exploring best and changing business practices
- Developing and packaging talent and new content for the marketplace
- Producing original IP
- Helping generate new companies
TUITION & FEES
Tuition is $8,000 CAD.
Through the generosity of donors and partners, the CFC offers financial assistance, including full or partial scholarships and bursaries, to help offset tuition fees and additional costs associated with participating in our core programs each year.
