Jeremy LaLonde is a Toronto-based filmmaker. In 2015, he was awarded NOW Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best Local Filmmaker. LaLonde’s films have screened internationally at Slamdance, Cinequest and film festivals in Santa Barbara, Toronto and Whistler. His film, Sex after Kids, won Best Feature at the 2013 Film North Huntsville International Film Festival, Best Comedy at the 2013 Edmonton International Film Festival and Best Screenplay and Best Director at the 2014 Canadian Comedy Awards.
His feature film, How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town, had its U.S. premiere at Slamdance 2016 and won Best Indie Feature at the 2015 Edmonton International Film Festival, and Best Ensemble & Best Feature film at the 2016 Canadian Filmmakers Festival. LaLonde was recently nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for his work on CBC’s Baroness Von Sketch Show, and is currently finishing post-production on his fourth feature film, The Go-Getters, which will start touring festivals in 2017.
