Over the last 20 years, the CFC has trained and launched some of Canada’s most exciting and prolific storytellers while fostering strong relationships and providing many showcase opportunities for our acting community.

As we looked to strengthen our relationship with on-screen talent, we recognized the need within our industry for more in depth, professional on-screen training, training that would adopt the same all encompassing approach to nurturing talent that is the hallmark of the CFC’s programs.

The Actors Conservatory wants to build on the continuum of great theatre actor training that already exists nationally; such as the National Theatre School, Soulpepper, Studio  58 and the Professional Actors’ Lab and focus on furthering the professional actor’s intimate understanding and confidence in working within the film and TV world.

Over the course of four-and-a- half months, the Actors Conservatory will engage actors in the on-screen storytelling and film/TV making process, increase their opportunities to forge relationships both on and off screen, and provide them with an exciting and intimate forum in which to strengthen their craft, work with some of the world’s leading practitioners and significantly workshop their craft on screen.

CFC Actors Conservatory is designed to inspire actors, to enhance their artistic and technical skills in film and television , expand their creative and business relationships, and encourage them to continuously push their boundaries in order to be launched as confident, compelling performers.

CFC is also committed to investing in and promoting our on-screen and creative talent worldwide through increased publicity showcasing opportunities.
