MOLLY MAXWELL is the story of 16-year-old Molly, who feels decidedly ordinary in her alternative school world full of prodigies, talents, and unique individuals. With family and friends eargerly waiting to see how she distinguishes herself, she finds herself unable to commit to any path for fear she'll let the world down. When her young, handsome English teacher enters the picture and relieves the pressure, Molly is suddenly able to flourish. But when their student-teacher bond becomes more intimate, Molly risks alienating everyone she loves on the road to figuring out just what makes her special.
Shooting takes place in Toronto from April 13 to May 6, 2012.
Starring Lola Tash, and CFC Actors Conservatory alumnus Charlie Carrick, MOLLY MAXWELL is written and directed by Sara St. Onge, and produced by Aeschylus Poulos, John Nadalin, and Mark Van de Ven. Catherine Lutes is Director of Photography for the film, with production design by Adam Wilson. Serving as editor will be Stephen Philipson. The feature is executive produced by Justine Whyte, Director, CFC Features, and is the 19th feature film production developed and financed under CFC Features, and the second film to be realized under the program's new structure.

Sara St. Onge is a writer and director whose body of work includes short films, music videos, and commercials. Her first critically acclaimed short, THE FUNERAL premiered at Sundance and her follow-ups LOBOTOMOBILE (2008) and TURKEY (2010) premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Aeschylus Poulos has worked in the film and television industry for the past 15 years, and has been an associate producer and producer on acclaimed projects such as SLINGS & ARROWS, TRIPLE SENSATION, and BLINDNESS. Independently he has produced several award-winning shorts that have had festival and broadcast success around the world. A producer at Foundry Films since 2010, he is currently co-producing Kate Melville's feature PICTURE DAY and Ruba Nadda's thriller INESCAPABLE, and is involved in Foundry's development slate.

John Nadalin is a highly accomplished film and music video producer, with over 10 years of experience. He has produced all sizes and scopes of commercial, film and video productions in Toronto and internationally including producing jobs across Europe, Latin America, and North America. John is the Executive Producer of The NE Ince and Rosemary Films.

Mark Van de Ven's body of work in film and television includes writing, producing, directing and story editing. As a co-founder of Artkitekt Films, he has produced award-winning shorts and documentaries such as US CHICKENS, PERENNIAL, and CARNIVAL OF RESISTANCE.

After two years of hiding out in the comfort of his Grandfather's retirement residence, young but old-at-heart Stock Burton is forced back into his small town where he must come to terms with the troubled past that led to his early retirement.
Shooting took place in Toronto from November 8 to December 2, 2011. The film is currently in post-production.
Starring Noah Reid (SCORE: A HOCKEY MUSICAL), Melanie Leishman (TODD AND THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL), Danny Wells (MAGNOLIA), Corrine Conley (DAYS OF OUR LIVES), and Meghan Heffern (BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE), OLD STOCK is directed by James Genn, from a screenplay by Dane Clark, produced by Geordie Sabbagh and co-produced by Derek Rappaport. Arthur Cooper is Director of Photography for the film, with production design by Rose Lagace. Serving as editor will be CFC alumnus Kye Meechan. The feature is executive produced by Justine Whyte, Director, CFC Features. OLD STOCK is the 18th feature film to be realized under the program's new structure.
Writer: Dane Clark (’08)
Dane Clark is a graduate of the CFC’s 2008 writer’s lab, where OLD STOCK was first work-shopped. In addition to development support from CFC Features, the script was selected as one of the winners of the 2009 Praxis screenwriting competition. Dane also co-wrote two acclaimed films as part of the 2009 CFC Short Dramatic Film Program. He is currently developing a TV series with Frantic Films.
Director: James Genn ('03)
James Genn has made several award-winning films including his CFC short THE DOG WALKER. He's directed over 40 episodes of TV, including RABBITTOWN, ROBSON ARMS, TODD AND THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL, and CALL ME FITZ. He has received a Gemini nomination, has twice been nominated for Genie Awards, and is the recipient of a Philip Borsos Award.
Producer: Geordie Sabbagh (’08)
Geordie Sabbagh has worked in all mediums of entertainment for some of the most prestigious and innovative companies in the world, such as the BBC and Creative Differences. While at the CFC, Geordie produced the award-winning short film ONE NIGHT. He currently has a number of projects in development, and recently wrapped his first feature, CLEAN BREAK.
Co-Producer: Derek Rappaport
Derek Rappaport honed his skills working as a First Assistant Director and ultimately Production Manager, Line Producer and Producer with key credits on 388 ARLETTA AVENUE and THE SAMARITAN. Derek is President of Rappaport Entertainment Inc, a production services company based in Toronto that develops and produces TV series and theatrical feature films. He is the winner of a DGC Award for Best Team Achievement for Season One of the TV series FLASHPOINT.
