Workshops A series of creative workshops and business sessions with key industry players offer exclusive access to detailed information about the acquisition, development, financing, production, and distribution of films. Case studies explore domestic and international financing models, marketplace strategies, and introduce producers to the business of television, while production and packaging exercises increase their knowledge and ability to manage the filmmaking and collaborative process.
Feature Development & Packaging Producers actively develop their feature projects through project roundtable sessions, coverage and story editing feedback helping to refine their ability to manage the development process and exercise their creative feedback skills. They also assemble a package based on the feature project which includes a budget, financing plan, recoupment schedule, draft marketing plan, etc. that is vetted by seasoned industry experts.
Production Exercises A producer's creative and production skills are challenged through two complex and professionally mounted productions, which are realized in collaboration with the writers, directors and editors of the other Labs. These exercises enable producers to flex their creative and collaborative skills, testing their ability to effectively manage the resources available in delivering each production, and adhering to the rigors of a professional shoot. | |
