HOW EUNICE GOT HER BABY

Florence, a small town cashier with big dreams, has every intention of getting out of town until Darryl Dean Chipman wanders into the store where she works, holds her at gunpoint and steals her heart. Their unlikely love burns fast and hard, and leads to Flo’s sister, Eunice, inheriting the progeny of these star-crossed lovers.

 THE TEAM

 

ANA VALINE, DIRECTOR

Ana, a graduate of the CFC’s Directors’ Lab, has spent most of her life in the arts.  Her short films, alice & bastard, a love poem and NIGHTMARE ON CAMBIE STREET, have garnered accolades on the festival circuit internationally. Ana is in development with Telefilm on her first feature film.

  JORDAN GROSS, PRODUCER

A gradUate of the CFC’s Producers’ Lab, Jordan recently completed two short films: HOW EUNICE GOT HER BABY, and MAN v. MINIVAN.  In developing two features; thriller SEMINARY HOUSE and romantic comedy I LIKE YOU…BUT, as well as TV series My Luck, My Life and new media franchise DARK MESSIAH.

  KRISTIN SOMBORAC, PRODUCER

Kristin Somborac’s love of film started as a young girl.  A recent graduate of the Producers’ Lab at the Canadian Film Centre, Kristin is currently developing an extensive project slate of feature films and television series and continues her eternal quest for the perfect snowboarding terrain.

  DANE CLARK, CO-WRITER

Dane Clark is a graduate of the CFC’s 2008 Writers’ Lab. His stories about love bridge the cynical and the optimistic, using comedy to guide his characters through even the most hopeless of situations. He’s currently developing his features, THE FRINGE and OLD STOCK.

 

LINSEY STEWART, CO-WRITER

A recent graduate of the CFC Film Writers’ Lab, Linsey Stewart is delighted, yes delighted, to be working on the CBC one-hour drama Being Erica as a junior story editor.  She is also currently developing her feature, Shooting The Lippincotts, a dark comedy that delves into the lives of an aging family of catalogue models.

  KYE MEECHAN, EDITOR

Kye Meechan is an editor with over 10 years experience in film and television including The L Word and Da Vinci’s Inquest. He studied film at Simon Fraser University and attended the Editors’ Lab at the CFC in 2008. Kye is looking forward to cutting his first feature film.
