| SYNOPSIS: |
|
Clara spends her birthday working the night shift at a furniture store. When she learns that James, her secret crush is leaving, she seeks solace in a gift from her mother- a bottle of champagne. Emboldened, Clara tries to find a real connection in a world of artificial displays. |

Hans Olson is a filmmaker from rural Alberta who has directed both narrative short films and documentary. In 2009, he was a Directors’ Lab resident at the Canadian Film Centre. |

Anita K. Sharma has been practicing entertainment law in New York City and Toronto for the past eleven years, and has worked with numerous independent filmmakers to help them realize their dreams. Her passion and desire to be involved in the creative process led her to the Canadian Film Centre, where she completed the Producers’ Lab in 2009, and co-produced the 2010 short dramatic film CHAMPAGNE. |

RAYNE ZUKERMAN, PRODUCER
A lawyer by training, Rayne Zukerman recently produced the independent feature film LE DIVAN DU MONDE (EVERYBODY’S COUCH), a road movie about two francophones hitchhiking across the country, which is currently doing the festival circuit around the world. Rayne completed the Canadian Film Centre in 2009, and co-produced the 2010 short dramatic film CHAMPAGNE. |

BRETTEN HANNAM, WRITER
Bretten Hannam is a screenwriter on a timeshare between Toronto and the East Coast. He spends most of his time working on feature scripts and reading obscure 60’s sci-fi novels. |

AREN HANSEN, EDITOR
Aren Hansen grew up in Vancouver, spending most of his time making music and films. He moved to Toronto in 2006 to attend the Canadian Film Centre's advanced Editors' Lab training program and loves it here. |
