CFC Features Announces a New Project in Development: THE ENGINEERS

CFC Features is pleased to announce the selection of a terrific team with an innovative project for development. The project is currently entitled THE ENGINEERS and comes to CFC Features from writer/director Daniel Cockburn and producer Daniel Bekerman.

THE ENGINEERS is the story of Keith, a best-selling crime novelist who is bothered by one consistent criticism: his characters lack depth. Desperate to access the hidden levels of human personality, he hires actors to go to therapy “in character”, and to report back to him on their insights and epiphanies.

Writer/director Daniel Cockburn has been making short films and videos since 1999; combining the entertainment value of narrative film with the experimentation of video art, they have been screened at over 80 festivals and galleries worldwide. His first feature You Are Here won the Toronto Film Critics Association's Jay Scott Prize for Emerging Talent, and top prize at the European Media Art Festival in Osnabruck, Germany.

Daniel Bekerman produced the meta-detective story You Are Here, the WWII love story The Pin, and the latest film by Bruce McDonald, The Husband. He also co-produced the period bank-robber film Citizen Gangster. He has several projects currently being packaged, includingBang Bang Baby, directed by Jeffrey St. Jules, and In The Lost Lands, based on the book by GAME OF THRONES author George R.R. Martin.
